This knob setting determines to which extent the level drops when the active

mutesthesignal;inother words,itsetstheresidualvolumelevel.Thefurtheryou

twist the knob clockwise, the greater the drop in (noise) level when the

mutesthesignal.

Use this knob to seta thresholdvalue (thatis, thenoise level) at which the

activatestosuppressthe signal. The further you twisttheknobtotheright,thehigher

the signal level at which the kicks in. The can be activated and

deactivatedasrequiredfortheCrunchchannelandthetwoLead channels by pushing

thefrontpanelbutton(33).

The following factors determine Line Out level: the preamp input level (Gain), the

given channels' Volume knobs, and to some extent, the tone controls and sound-

shapingbuttons' settings aswellas the positionofthe Master knob.Thoseare a lotof

variables, so I recommend you proceed as follows: Configure buttons as desired and

dialinthedesiredsettingsonthefrontpanel.AdjustthelevelsofconnectedFXdevices

andsignalprocessors.Finally,usetheLevelcontroltoadjustthelinelevel.TheLineOut

isnotoverloadeduntilthe Overload LED (42) lightsupcontinuously.Youcanpushthe

levelup to thispointto match amixer deskorrecorder's input levelrequirements. Use

thegivendevice'sinputsensitivityorgaincontroltofine-tunethelinelevel.
